31 year old lady

Hi, my name is Erin, and I’m 31 years old. I like cats and hamsters and I dislike losing my hair to malnutrition. 6 months ago, I almost died in Hawaii. The Hawaiian Fire Goddess known locally as Pele set fire in my lungs with her sulfuric ash of glass. Because of that, I recently went through an evaluation for a double lung transplant, because I have Cystic Fibrosis. My transplant team decided to defer me, which means I am currently not waiting for a lung transplant and I’m not on the list. It is still too early in my disease progression for this life saving procedure. The evaluation week I went through is colloquially called “hell week”, because it’s actual hell. Imagine having every test under the sun run on you, and then more, and that’s what it was like. I found out that I have a hole in my heart (literally and metaphorically). These things will be fixed in time.

The next step in my health process is to start a round of IV antibiotics for about 6 months. Yes, 6.

I like this picture of me & my cat Mo because we both are cute and I’ve gained weight. I’m currently over 100 lbs, which is a huge mile marker for me. So here is a photo to commemorate that.

Dislikes:

  1. Losing my hair

  2. The Mexican Pizza’s at Taco Bell (don’t @ me)

  3. When my coffee gets cold

  5. Almost dying

  6. Having to pick up the tumbleweeds of Archer’s fur around the house

  7. When my friends aren’t on TikTok and I can’t send them freakin TikTok’s I like!

  8. The fact that there won’t be a Queen of England for a very long time

  9. Root canals

  10. Having to give vials and vials and vials and vials of blood. And vials and vials..

  11. Odd numbers
